The Whitney Book Corner
WE SELL USED BOOKS

The Whitney Book Corner at the corner of Clinton and Union streets in Schenectady, NY, has been operated by the Friends of the Schenectady County Public Library since May 4, 2002. Proceeds from the sale of used books at the site, along with sales from semi-annual sales held at the library itself in May and September, are used to enhance the holdings of the Library, especially those of the children's sections at the Library system's nine branch libraries. Book sales also allow the Friends to become a major contributor to programming at the Central Library and all nine branches.

The Bookstore Manager is Gail Karl with associates, Chris Witkowski and Roberta Richardson. The volunteer Scheduling Coordinator is Ellie Rowland. The stock consists of books discarded by the Library and used books and other materials donated by the public.
